Profiles

What do you enjoy, and what are you good at? In grades 1 and 2, you’ll try out a lot of different things through hands-on assignments, projects, and (short-term) internships. Halfway through Year 2, you’ll choose a track: the world that suits you best. Making a choice takes courage, which is why you’ll first discover what’s right for you. Learning with courage means discovering and doing!

  • Three profiles
  • Choosing a track halfway through second grade
  • Two-week internship

Three Worlds

In the specialized courses, you’ll get hands-on experience. You’ll learn to collaborate, plan, and come up with solutions. In 3rd grade, you’ll complete a two-week internship in the field of your choice. This will ensure you’re well-prepared for vocational education (MBO) and for working in the real world.

Media, Design & ICT (MVI)

At MVI, creativity and technology come together. You’ll learn how to develop an idea into a digital or tangible product. Think of a photo series, a film, an animation, a website, or a 2D or 3D design. In doing so, you’ll work on both the design and the technical implementation: what does your product look like, and how do you ensure it works properly?

You’ll also be introduced to information and communication technology (ICT). You’ll learn how to use equipment and software and focus on working safely in a digital environment. You’ll practice designing, creating, testing, and improving. MVI is a good fit for students who enjoy being creative and are curious about digital media and technology.

Services & Products (S&P)

D&P is a broad and practical program that introduces you to various types of work. For example, you’ll learn how to organize an activity for a client, present and promote a product, or design, create, and improve a product. You’ll also work on multimedia projects, such as a film or a website.

You’ll explore what a client needs and how you can develop a suitable solution. Planning, collaboration, and clear communication are key to this process. Because you’ll work on a wide variety of assignments, you’ll discover where your interests and talents lie. D&P is a good fit for students who enjoy variety, organizing things, and hands-on work.

Economics & Entrepreneurship (E&E)

At E&O, you’ll discover how things work in a store, warehouse, and office. You’ll learn how to assist customers, sell products, and create an appealing sales environment. You’ll also practice managing inventory, ordering items, and processing data.

You’ll explore questions such as: Who are your customers? What do they need? And how do you promote a product? In the process, you’ll develop an entrepreneurial mindset and learn to communicate in a customer-friendly manner and work with precision. E&O is a good fit for students interested in business, entrepreneurship, organization, and interacting with customers.

Your course load and electives

Your profile includes a set of courses. You can choose from five course packages: two from E&O, two from D&P, and one from MVI. In addition, you’ll select electives that match your interests, such as sports and physical education, first aid, photography, fashion and design, entrepreneurship, or personal care.
